The fort
The property is located in a 70.000 square metres estate, where stands the Austrian fortress Benedek surrounded by olive trees, oleanders, agaves and vineyard. One of the first battles for the unification of Italy was fought here, known as “La Carica dei Carabinieri di Pastrengo” in 1848.
A great part of the wines on our wine list is aged inside the fortress.
As well the restaurant’s raw materials, such as cold cuts, cheese and vegetables, are almost produced on the estate.
