Lazise
About 6 km away from Forte Benedek is the historic center of medieval origin that can be visited entirely on foot, walking through characteristic streets surrounded by typical bars and small shops.
It is the perfect place to enjoy a spectacular sunset, strolling along the lakefront that extends to the town of Garda.
Ferries for boat trips also leave from the port of Lazise. Lazise has been recognized as the oldest municipality in Italy since 7 May 983.

Among the most beautiful historical centers on the eastern shore of Lake Garda, we find Bardolino, Garda, Peschiera and Sirmione.
Let yourself be enchanted by the picturesque lakeside promenade (from Lazise to Garda) and by the typical landscape of Lake Garda, dominated by cypresses: the iconographic symbol of this area.
These centers can also be reached by boat starting from Lazise.

The city is about 20 km from Relais Forte Benedek. It is a world heritage site and houses monuments from the Roman, medieval and Renaissance periods.
The famous Roman Arena also hosts important opera festivals every year as well as concerts and shows.

Legend has it that its name means “Valley of many cellars” due to the dominant presence of cellars that produce fine wines, known throughout the world.
